Imagine a football court on the lake. It`s the size of two barges standing next to each other. On the two barges, four rigs are placed on two floors. Each of them has 44 rooms. In the middle of it all, there is a road the size of a normal Norwegian motorway. It is used, among other things, to transport bedding and other necessary products from one side to another.
It`s 4Service that has been given responsibility for operating on what is probably Norway's largest floating hotel, with an address at the quay in Odda.
The camp in Odda is not permanent, but for now it consists of six rigs on land and three barges at sea. In total, it provides 792 rooms, as well as a canteen, says Inge Kolstad, director of Camp in 4Service.
At the time of writing, 4Service has 25 employees at the camp in Odda. When everything is in place, this number will rise to 35.
